Antwon Jarell Gibbs is an American rapper, director, songwriter, entertainer, and entrepreneur. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Englewood, NJ by his mother Gloria Gibbs & step father Robert Jennings. TwonDon is an aspiring 17 year old artist that has been on the rap scene since 2008 at the age of 14. TwonDon first encounter with music was at the age of 12 when his mom was a popular promoter and he will witness her working with artists such as Keith Murray, Redman, Method Man, Lil Jon, BG, Fabolous, Def Squad, and more. TwonDon always admired his mother and the way she handled business and her grind. It wasn't long until TwonDon decided to do music of his own. His first song recorded was at 14 called "I'm Busy" when he talks about how busy he can be as a 14 year old. At that age TwonDon didn't write his own music which led him to depend on others to write music for him. A few months later he ran into Jaz-O who was also Jay-Z mentor and they had did work together when Jaz-O wrote a verse for TwonDon on a new record called "Babygirl". "Babygirl" at the time was one of the hottest songs TwonDon believed he had, but it wasn't finished. TwonDon then stopped doing music until his sophomore year in high school. There wasn't anyone in his city doing it at the time so he seen the right away. He then finished writing the "Babygirl" record himself and recorded it at an in house studio in Englewood, NJ. Uploading a sneak peak of the video on Youtube, and getting positive reactions he then kept the music coming. He didn't always have money for studio time so TwonDon managed to set up a recording set up in his own house and set up a series of mixtapes. After buzzing a lot on Youtube and in the city he was contacted for features, shows, guest appearances and more. After building a name for himself in Englewood after doing shows in areas such as Newark, Manhatten, Harlem, Brooklyn, Pennsylvania, Englewood, Hackensack, Bronx, & even hitting a mini-tour east coast in the summer of 2010.
